We hope you enjoy reading our ideas, as much as we enjoyed reading his poetry. We learned that Heaney dwells in his imagination, finding inspiration often in the very simplest of things, such as a potato or a pen. His poems are full of interesting characters and family members, as in 'Clearances iii' and 'The Butts'. Ireland too is never far away from his mind, with references to Irish places names, as in 'Limbo', or in his use of everyday Irish-isms in his speech, as seen in 'Digging' or 'Lightenings viii'.
His words inspire us all. May he rest in peace.
