Jabberwocky ~ by Lewis Carroll

What happens in this poem?
In this poem a young boy goes out with his vorpal sword and his brave face and slays the Jabberwock!
He is being warned by his Dad to stay away from it but when it comes by his side the son slays the Jabberwocky.

What words strike you as interesting?
The interesting words that struck me in this poem were Jabberwock, bandersnatch and frumious. These words struck me because I thought they were mindblowing and exotic. The way he wrote these words were extraordinary and it painted a picture in your head. :)

What image is most striking?
I think the most striking image is the "Jabberwock's eyes of flame as it burbled through the tugley wood." This really strikes me as i think of it's bright eyes which gleam in the night. The Jubjub bird also strikes me as it seems strangely fascinating and onomatopoeic.
